Air Zimbabwe Makes Popular Harare–Mutare–Victoria Falls Route a Permanent Daily Service

HARARE, Zimbabwe – In response to significant passenger demand, Air Zimbabwe has confirmed that its recently launched flight connecting Harare, Mutare, and Victoria Falls will transition from a temporary offering to a permanent daily fixture in its schedule.

The route was initially introduced to accommodate travelers for the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, held earlier this month in Mutare. However, the national carrier reported that the service’s immediate popularity demonstrated a clear and sustained need for the air link.

Air Zimbabwe’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Edmund Makona, stated that the public’s reaction to the new flight path was “overwhelmingly positive.” He confirmed the service will continue indefinitely, enhancing air accessibility to the scenic Eastern Highlands region.

The permanent flight will operate daily on the Harare – Mutare (Grand Reef Aerodrome) – Victoria Falls circuit. Air Zimbabwe has set the fares at $85 for a one-way trip and $170 for a return ticket.

The airline framed the decision as a strategic move to boost the domestic tourism sector and improve national connectivity. In a statement, Air Zimbabwe said the service acts as “a bridge linking communities, enabling trade, and showcasing Zimbabwe’s breathtaking destinations.”

Industry experts believe the reliable air service will provide a substantial economic lift to the Eastern Highlands by making it more accessible for both local and international tourists and business travelers.

Passengers can make bookings through Air Zimbabwe’s sales offices, authorized travel agents, or via its official website.
