Dynamos Advance to Chibuku Super Cup Semis

Dynamos beat ZPC Kariba through a penalty shootout at Rufaro Stadium yesterday to book a place in the Chibuku Super Cup semi-finals.

The match had ended in a goal less draw in regulation time with both teams failing to come up with promising chances.

Dynamos became the first team in history to reach three consecutive Chibuku Super Cup semi-finals.

Dynamos coach, Kelvin Kaindu, made a tactical change in the 92nd minute when he introduced goalkeeper, Tatenda Makoni, a move which proved to be a master stroke as Makoni went on to make a crucial save during the shootouts.

Elsewhere, Triangle FC beat Manica Diamonds 2-0 to book a place in the Cup`s semi-finals.

This afternoon Highlanders will square off with Scotland FC at Barbourfields in the City of Kings while Bikita Minerals host MWOS FC to determine which two other teams join Dynamos and Triangle FC in the semi-finals.
