SHOCKING: Eight-year-old drug abuser admitted to Vic Falls rehab centre

An eight-year-old child is among four patients currently receiving treatment at the newly established Drug and Rehabilitation Centre in Vic Falls, highlighting the severity of the country`s escalating drug abuse crisis.

This shocking predicament was unraveled during a visit to the facility at Chinotimba Clinic by local council officials and The Herald news crew.

The admission of a minor of sucha tender age has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting how the scourge of substance abuse is increasingly trapping younger victims.

The facility, which became operational following a ZWG1.8million disbursement from Government, represents a critical step in combating drug and substance abuse in the tourism city.

Vic Falls Town Clerk, Mr Ronnie Dube, confirmed the childs admission while providing an update on the centre`s development.
