The Harare Metropolitan Province is set to host a major Investment and Business Conference, from 24 to 25 September 2025, at Heritage Village in Westlea, Harare.
In a press statement, released yesterday, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Charles Tawengwa, said the event is expected to draw investors, policymakers, development partners, and business leaders from across Zimbabwe and beyond.
“This Conference comes at a critical juncture where we can unlock value across housing, infrastructure, and service delivery. We are positioning Harare as a model for sustainable urbanisation in Africa and propelling Zimbabwe closer to the aspirations of Vision 2030,” he said
The event will be held under the theme: “Building Bridges: Accelerating Investment Towards the Attainment of Vision 2030.” It will adopt a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation to ensure broad engagement from stakeholders, including the diaspora and international investors.
Minister Tawengwa emphasised the importance of the event in advancing Zimbabwe’s national development goals.
“Your participation will not only strengthen public-private partnerships but also drive inclusive economic growth that supports the national devolution and decentralisation agenda,” he said
The conference will be graced by the Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Hon. Professor Mthuli Ncube, giving delegates an opportunity to engage with high-level policymakers and explore bankable projects in sectors such as housing and urban renewal, digital infrastructure, water and sanitation, renewable energy, waste management, tourism, health, education, and industrialisation.
“We extend an open invitation to potential investors, institutions, and development partners both locally and internationally. Together, we can transform Harare into a vibrant, competitive metropolis and a gateway to national development,” said Minister Tawenga.
The Conference is expected to catalyse meaningful partnerships and provide a platform for innovative ideas that will shape the future of Harare Metropolitan Province.
