Manicaland Embarks on Transformative Development Path

Mutare — Manicaland Province is on a firm and promising path of transformation, with key strategic projects already underway as the nation prepares for the 22nd ZANU PF National People’s Conference.

This was revealed by the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Adv Misheck Mugadza, who reaffirmed Government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive and sustainable development in line with President Dr. ED Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030.

Adv Mugadza outlined a raft of major projects, including the construction of modern GMB AI-powered silos, the completion of the Trabablas Interchange 2, the development of a smart city, and the modernization of the Forbes Border Post.

He also emphasized the revival of tourism in Nyanga as a critical catalyst for employment creation and rural development.

“These projects are a living testimony to the Second Republic’s determination to transform lives. We are not only putting up structures; we are laying the foundation for a prosperous Zimbabwe that delivers dignity, equity, and opportunities for all,” Adv.Mugadza said.

He added: “Manicaland is rising, and with it rises the hope of every family, every farmer, every youth, and every worker who dreams of a better tomorrow. Through devolution, development is no longer a distant promise, but a present reality in our communities.”

In a significant boost to citizen empowerment, Adv Mugadza further announced that land would be availed to individuals willing to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“This land initiative is about empowering our people. We are saying: come forward, play your part, and together we will build the Zimbabwe we all desire. In line with His Excellency President Mnangagwa’s call, no one and no place will be left behind,” he stressed.

Highlighting the broader vision, the Minister declared: “Vision 2030 is not a slogan, it is a roadmap. It calls on each one of us to be active participants in the journey towards an upper middle-income economy. Manicaland will not be a spectator; we are proud to be a frontline driver of this transformation.”

Adv Mugadza concluded by paying tribute to President Mnangagwa’s transformative leadership, which he said has ushered in a new era of unity, progress, and empowerment across Zimbabwe. “The President has given us a clear compass through Vision 2030 and the philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind. As Manicaland, we pledge our total commitment to walking hand in hand with His Excellency in turning this vision into a lasting legacy for generations to come,” he said.
