Simba Bhora coach Joel Luphahla has refused to concede the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title race despite his team’s 1-0 defeat to CAPS United on Saturday.
The loss was a major setback for Simba Bhora, who are now four points behind leaders Scottland FC but have a game in hand. Luphahla remains optimistic that his side can still fight back in the remaining fixtures.
“There is a lot to play for,” he said. “We still have five games left, that’s 15 points to play for.
“I’m hoping that we are going to come good by winning our game in Triangle, which is not going to be easy, of course.
“But if we go there and get three points, it means that we are back in contention.”
Simba Bhora, who had gone into the weekend hoping to close the gap at the top, will now look to bounce back when they travel to Triangle in their next fixture next week.
