Harare – Prominent musician and entrepreneur, Mudiwa Hood, has publicly praised President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, describing him as an “underrated hero” whose achievements as the Head of State have not been given the recognition they deserve.
In a heartfelt message addressed directly to the President, Mudiwa expressed deep admiration for Mnangagwa’s leadership, crediting him for transforming Zimbabwe’s image and driving development across key sectors. The award-winning artist said while the President’s history in the liberation struggle is well documented and inspiring, it is his “remarkable work as President” that stands out as both under-marketed and under-appreciated.
“If any other President in Africa, or the world at large, achieved half of what you have done, they would have been hailed as a hero,” wrote Mudiwa. “You are my hero, Your Excellency, and without fear, I say you are the best President in our lifetime.”
Mudiwa emphasized that his praise was not influenced by personal or business interests, declaring that he has “never had any dealings with Government or the Party” but is simply a patriotic citizen proud of the nation’s progress.
Identifying himself as a loyal member of ZANU PF, Mudiwa underscored the responsibility of Zimbabwean youths to amplify the country’s success stories and promote national pride.
“It is us, the youths, who have the mandate to tell the good stories about our country and its leadership,” he stated.
The artist’s message has since drawn widespread attention online, with many commending his boldness and patriotism. His remarks reflect growing sentiment among young Zimbabweans who are rallying behind President Mnangagwa’s vision for economic revival, empowerment, and national unity.
