Ghana`s Former First Lady Nana Konadu Rawlings Dies

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Ghana’s former First Lady from 1981 to 2001, has passed away at the age of 77.

According to local media reports, she died on Thursday, October 23, in Accra.

She was the wife of the late President Jerry John Rawlings, Ghana’s first leader under the Fourth Republic, who died in November 2020.

In 2016, Nana Konadu made history as the first former first lady to run for president in Ghana after breaking away from her husband’s party to form hers.
