Julian King appreciates support during Zim visit

United State-based Zimbabwean musician and songwriter, Julian King has thanked fans, media, and industry partners for the support he received during his recent visit to Zimbabwe, his first in more than five years.

Julian King said his time in Zimbabwe allowed him to reconnect with people in the music industry, perform for local audiences, and explore new collaborations. He said the visit reminded him of the strong creative spirit that exists in the country.

“To every client, media house, creative, promoter, and partner who took the time to meet, engage, collaborate, or simply share kind words — thank you. You made this homecoming one I will cherish forever,” he said.

Julian King said he appreciated the role of local media in supporting his music even while he was based overseas.

“I am deeply grateful to the media family, which has carried my music through the years even when I was miles away. Your support has been the bridge that kept me connected to home,” he said.

The artist also praised Odyssey Entertainment for providing a platform that promotes Zimbabwean talent locally and internationally. “Sharing the stage with some of the best from home and abroad was an honour I’ll never forget,” he said.

Julian King, who blends R&B with African influences, performed at several events and met with promoters and brand representatives during his stay. He said Zimbabwe is full of potential and young people with great talent.

“This journey has reminded me that Zimbabwe is rich — not just in talent, but in heart, creativity, and unity. Every conversation and every stage moment reaffirmed my purpose to keep creating music that inspires and connects,” he said.

King added that the visit helped him form new partnerships that will strengthen links between Zimbabwe and the global music scene.

“As I return to the U.S I carry with me renewed energy, lessons, and friendships that I believe will help build stronger collaborations,” he said. “May we continue to work together and celebrate Zimbabwean creativity.”
