Zimbabwe expands footprint at Middle East Natural and Organic Expo

Zimbabwe is broadening its presence in Middle Eastern and Asian markets following its participation at the recently concluded Natural and Organic Expo 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates.

ZimTrade Export Promotion Manager, Vuyiswa Mafu expressed optimism about the outcomes of the exhibition, noting that Zimbabwean companies had attracted considerable interest from potential partners.

“We had a hive of activity at our stand, with companies expressing interest in forming synergies with our local producers. We believe there is enormous potential based on the response we have witnessed so far,” she said.

Despite this being Zimbabwe’s first appearance at the event, Mafu said the enthusiasm from visitors and exhibitors alike was encouraging.
“This is the first time the country has taken part, and the response has been very positive. We have eight companies participating, including House of Moringa, Kokota Spread, and EdenChase, among others.”

She added that ZimTrade facilitated the participation of eight export-ready SMEs and large enterprises representing various segments of Zimbabwe’s natural and organic value chain.

“These companies were selected based on their readiness to export and the uniqueness of their products. We prioritised firms producing organic foods, beverages, herbal teas, health drinks, essential oils, natural cosmetics, and herbal wellness products,” Mafu said.

ZimTrade highlighted that global demand for natural and organic products continues to rise, with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries leading the shift toward healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
“The deliberate involvement of Zimbabwe at this expo provides a strategic gateway for our producers, particularly as the UAE has become a hub for premium organic foods, beverages, cosmetics, and wellness products,” Mafu noted.

ZimTrade said its participation in the fair aimed at elevating the visibility of Zimbabwe’s natural and organic brands across the UAE and GCC markets, as well as to establish export linkages that could result in long-term distribution agreements for local producers.

The event, held under the theme “Redefining Clean and Sustainable Living,” is the Middle East’s largest platform dedicated to natural and organic products, attracting global suppliers, buyers, and health-conscious consumers.

Zimbabwe’s participation also aligns with the country’s strategy to diversify its export base and expand into high-value international markets. By showcasing a broad range of goods, from herbal teas and essential oils to natural cosmetics and wellness products, ZimTrade aims to position Zimbabwe as a reliable supplier of premium, sustainably produced items while helping the country consolidate its presence in the fast-growing lucrative global organic market.
