President Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged young people to stand firm in defending the gains of the liberation struggle, reject narratives that seek to undermine the nation, and take an active role in shaping Zimbabwe’s future.
He said the youth must position themselves at the centre of national transformation, contributing meaningfully to the country’s development agenda through innovation, productivity and patriotic commitment.
Addressing mourners gathered for the burial of National Hero Brigadier General (RTD) Donald Silundi Tshuma, the President also called on Zimbabweans to take pride in the country’s ongoing development milestones. He highlighted that the economy continues on a steady growth path driven by value addition, beneficiation and strategic policy reforms under the Second Republic.
President Mnangagwa emphasised that unity, hard work and confidence in national policies remain essential as Zimbabwe accelerates its modernisation and industrialisation journey.
