Former Lady Chevrons skipper named team manager

Former Zimbabwe Women’s cricket captain Mary-Anne Musonda has been appointed Team Manager of the Zimbabwe Senior Women’s Team, marking a swift transition from player to administrator.

The announcement comes just weeks after Mary-Anne Musonda retired from all forms of cricket, bringing to a close a distinguished career defined by resilience, exemplary leadership, and several historic milestones for the women’s game.

At 34, the former skipper steps into her new role with nearly two decades of experience in Zimbabwean cricket. Her appointment is expected to inject professionalism, strategic insight, and continuity into the national women’s set-up as the team embarks on a new phase of development.
