President Mnangagwa turns 83

Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga has congratulated President Mnangagwa, who will be turning 83 tomorrow.

In a statement released yesterday, Dr Chiwenga congratulated the President noting that the birthday comes at a time when the country is celebrating great strides achieved under President Mnangagwa`s stewardship.

In the statement, Dr Chiwenga said “On behalf of my family, my Office and indeed my own behalf, I would like to extend hearty congratulations to you, the First Secretary of the ruling party ZANU PF and President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, on your 83rd birthday, on 15 September 2025”.

“On this momentous occasion of your birthday, allow me, Your Excellency, to celebrate your leadership and unwavering commitment to the prosperity of our beloved country.

“Under your stewardship, Zimbabwe has witnessed transformative strides in economic growth, infrastructure and social development.

“The implementation of the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) has laid a firm foundation for resilient and broad-based sustainable livelihoods.”

“Your Excellency, your major milestones in foreign economic diplomacy can never go unnoticed, as Zimbabwe has firmly stood on the global stage through partnerships that continue to advance our national developmental thrust. Through your tireless efforts, our nation continues to rise with resilience, pride and unity,” he said.

Dr Chiwenga also paid tribute to President Mnangagwa’s tenure as SADC chairperson.

“As we celebrate your birthday, we also honour your just-ended tenure as chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Shumba Murambwi, as we celebrate your birthday, may you and the First Family be blessed with wisdom, strength and good health.

“Happy birthday, Your Excellency. May your leadership continue to be guided by the Almighty God to be a beacon of hope and transformation. Congratulations!Makorokoto! Amhlope!”
