Chevrons Dismiss Kenya, Storm into Final

Brian Benett`s 51 off 25 balls earned him the man-of-the-match award as Zimbabwe beat Kenya by 7 wickets in a match played at the Harare Sports club this afternoon.

With this win, Zimbabwe has qualified for the 2026 T20 World Cup to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka after missing out on the previous edition in 2024.

The match was the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, 2025 with Namibia having booked a place in the final after emerging victorious in the first semi-final winning by 63 runs against Tanzania.

Zimbabwe will now face Namibia in the final to be played on Saturday at the same venue.

Kenya won the toss and elected to bat and posted 122/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Zimbabwe reached the target with 7 wickets in hand and 5 overs to spare.
