The Western Commonage Regional Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 26-year-old man to 15 years imprisonment for raping his 17-year-old niece.
On the 30th of November 2025, at around 2025 hours, the offender and the victim who are uncle and niece were relaxing on a bed when the offender forced the victim to remove her trousers and raped her.
The matter came to light when the victim confided in her sister who helped her to file a police report, leading to the arrest of the offender.
