Plumtree Police launches Client Service Charter

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Plumtree Station has launched its Client Service Charter at Dingumuzi Bus Terminus.

Speaking at the launch, recently, ZRP Plumtree said the Charter was intended to strengthen accountability and ensure that members of the public clearly understand the standards of service they should expect when dealing with the police.

“Members of the public will receive professional, timely, and satisfactory services from the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

“The Charter sets out the standards of service expected from officers at the station, providing a framework through which members of the public can assess the quality of services rendered to them,” ZRP added.

The ZRP has increasingly emphasised professional policing and improved relations with communities as key components of effective law enforcement.

Client service charters are intended to promote service standards, accountability and responsiveness across Government institutions.

The Plumtree launch therefore represents part of  efforts to bring public services closer to citizens while strengthening confidence in Government institutions through professional and transparent service delivery.
