Following the inauguration, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah met with the African Union Commission chairperson and his accompanying delegation to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest and ways to further develop cooperation between Libya and African Union institutions across various fields.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the political process and efforts to consolidate stability, as well as the African Union’s role in supporting the political process and the national reconciliation initiative. They also discussed coordinating positions on regional issues in a way that strengthens Libya’s presence and role on the African continent.
