The High Court is expected to deliver a ruling, this Monday, in a case in which jailed duo Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe are seeking leave to appeal.
Mpofu and Chimombe were convicted last year after being found guilty of defrauding the Government of more than US$7 million under the Presidential Goat Pass-On Scheme.
Last month, the pair filed an application before High Court Judge, Justice Pisirayi Kwenda, requesting permission to take their matter to the Supreme Court.
The ruling will determine whether Mpofu and Chimombe remain in custody or gain an opportunity to challenge their convictions at the Supreme Court.
Advocate Tapson Dzvetero confirmed that his clients will be in court this Monday.
The two are contesting both their convictions and sentences, citing alleged irregularities during the trial.
Meanwhile, the State maintains that the sentences imposed were too lenient.
