The Ministry said Zimbabwe’s participation at the conference demonstrates Government’s commitment to improving the quality of maternal and newborn health services and ensuring that no mother or child dies from preventable causes.

“This global platform allows countries to share experiences, review progress and adopt innovative strategies that can help improve maternal and newborn survival.

Zimbabwe continues to prioritise maternal and child health as part of efforts to strengthen the national health delivery system,” it said.

The conference is expected to focus on the use of reliable data in planning health services, expanding access to modern medical technologies and strengthening health systems to respond effectively to the needs of mothers and newborns.
