ZANU PF Secretary for Women’s Affairs, Mabel Chinomona, has called for unity and discipline within party structures, saying ongoing constitutional and governance reforms, including Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, require sustained mobilisation and commitment at grassroots level.
She made the remarks this Sunday during an engagement with party members in Marondera, where she emphasised the need for cohesion as the party advances key national development programmes.
Chinomona said the constitutional reforms are part of broader efforts to strengthen governance systems and support national development priorities, adding that party members must remain focused, disciplined and united.
“The Women’s League remains committed to serving the nation and ensuring that women continue to play an active role in advancing Government programmes that uplift communities,” she said.
She highlighted the indispensable contribution of women in implementing development initiatives, noting that their participation remains central to the success of national programmes.
“The contribution of women is indispensable in all Government programmes that aim to uplift communities and improve livelihoods,” she added.
Chinomona also emphasised that Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 is among the key reform initiatives being advanced, saying it fits within the broader national vision of strengthening institutions and supporting long-term development goals.
She urged members to maintain discipline and focus, saying unity within party structures remains critical for the successful implementation of national priorities.
Mashonaland East leadership was commended for its continued support of Government programmes and its role in mobilising communities around development and reform initiatives.
The meeting reaffirmed the Women’s League’s commitment to national service and its role in supporting programmes aimed at improving livelihoods across communities.
