Insiza North is experiencing rapid transformation under the leadership of its Member of Parliament, Hon. Delani Moyo, who has prioritised access to clean water, education, and healthcare across Wards 13, 14, and 19. In just a short period in office, Moyo’s hands-on approach has already drawn praise from residents who say their lives are changing for the better.
In Kombo Village, a solarised borehole has been completed with tanks and solar power support from President Emmerson Mnangagwa. The development has ended years of water shortages. “We are grateful to Hon. Moyo for bringing this solution so quickly,” said elder Josphat Nhliziyo. “For the first time in decades, we don’t have to walk long distances for water. His leadership is showing results.”
Ward 13 has also benefitted, with Sweet Home Clinic advancing towards completion and Pioneer Primary School receiving 100 bags of cement for a new classroom block. A solar-powered borehole was drilled at Pioneer Village, while teacher housing is nearing completion. Selina Mabhena, a parent, expressed gratitude: “Hon. Moyo has listened to us. Decent classrooms and water for our children will change their future. We thank him for acting so quickly.”
In Ward 14’s Fort Rixon area, progress includes ongoing work to finalise Fort Rixon Clinic, drilling boreholes at Siyazama Secondary and St John’s Primary, and donating 100 bags of cement for Siyazama’s classroom construction.
Hon. Moyo said the projects reflect a shared commitment to uplift rural communities. “Clean water, healthcare, and education are pillars of sustainable development. We will continue working closely with the President and stakeholders to deliver lasting solutions,” he said.
The MP is also spearheading the construction of a nurses’ cottage in Ward 20, alongside the installation of a borehole in Garawafamba Village within the same ward. In addition, he has pledged to rehabilitate Msundu Clinic in Ward 18.
Residents agree his early tenure already shows promise, thanking him for steering Insiza North toward tangible progress.
