39-year old, Brendan Taylor scored a magnificent 123 off 54 balls ensuring that Zimbabwe beat Botswana by 170 runs in an ICC Men`s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, 2025 match played at Harare Sports Club this afternoon.
Botswana won the toss and elected to field allowing Zimbabwe to post a commanding 259/5.
Opener Brian Bennett scored a fast 65 off 33 balls while captain, Sikandar raza chipped in with 21 off 10 deliveries.
In response, Botswana managed to post 89/8 in their allotted 20 overs with Perera top scoring with 31 of 32 balls.
Taylor, who was retired mid-match, becomes the second Zimbabwean to score hundreds in all 3 formats of the game.
His tally also becomes the highest score by a wicket keeper in men`s T20Is.
