Nyanga is fast emerging as one of Zimbabwe’s top tourism destinations, with both local and national leaders calling for increased promotion of its natural wonders.
The Mayor of Nyanga, Advocate Fungai Chimwamurombe, has urged communities and stakeholders to actively support the Visit Nyanga initiative, highlighting the district’s potential to become a tourism hub recognized both nationally and internationally.
“Nyanga is blessed with breathtaking attractions that can put Zimbabwe on the global tourism map. If we work together, our tourism industry will thrive,” said Adv. Chimwamurombe.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism, and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Tongai Mafidi Mnangagwa, echoed this call, encouraging both local and international visitors to explore Nyanga and other iconic destinations across Zimbabwe. He emphasized that domestic tourism plays a vital role in sustaining the industry while positioning Zimbabwe as a must-visit destination on the global stage.
Visitors to Nyanga can experience stunning natural sites such as Mutarazi Falls, Nyangombe Falls, and Nyamuziwa Falls, as well as enjoy tours of Nyanga National Park, hikes up Mount Nyangani, and panoramic views from World’s View. The region also offers comfortable accommodations, historical treasures like the Ziwa Ruins, and opportunities for educational excursions.
“With its unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure opportunities, Nyanga is a jewel of Zimbabwean tourism,” Hon. Tongai Mnangagwa said.
The campaign underlines Zimbabwe’s commitment to showcasing its diverse attractions and boosting the tourism sector, one of the key drivers of economic growth.
