Zimbabwean cyclist Rohnan Nicholson finished 49th in the Men’s Junior Individual Time Trial at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Canada, as he continues preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
Nicholson completed the demanding time trial two minutes and 34 seconds behind the winning time in a highly competitive field featuring some of the world’s leading junior cyclists.
The performance provides Nicholson with valuable international exposure as he steps up his preparations for the Dakar Youth Olympic Games, where he will represent Zimbabwe.
Fellow Zimbabwean cyclist Carlos Kee-Tui also competed in the event, finishing 67th overall.
Kee-Tui crossed the finish line five minutes and 35 seconds behind the winner.
The World Championships provide an important platform for the young Zimbabwean cyclists to gain experience against top junior riders from around the world ahead of their future international assignments.
