Chevrons to face India at Vic Falls

Zimbabwe’s Chevrons will face cricket giants India at the Victoria Falls International Stadium when the country hosts matches during the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

The tournament will give Zimbabwean cricket fans an opportunity to watch some of the world’s leading teams on home soil, with Australia and Pakistan also scheduled to play against the Chevrons at Harare Sports Club.

Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo will host Zimbabwe’s opening two matches, including encounters against Qualifier A and Afghanistan.

Zimbabwe’s confirmed fixtures are:

  • 9 October 2027: Zimbabwe v Qualifier A — Queens Sports Club
  • 11 October 2027: Zimbabwe v Afghanistan — Queens Sports Club
  • 15 October 2027: Zimbabwe v Australia — Harare Sports Club
  • 19 October 2027: Zimbabwe v Pakistan — Harare Sports Club
  • 24 October 2027: Zimbabwe v India — Victoria Falls International Stadium

The match against India in Victoria Falls is expected to provide a major international cricket spectacle as the resort city prepares to host World Cup action.

The Chevrons will therefore have a five-match group-stage campaign spread across Bulawayo, Harare and Victoria Falls, giving supporters in different parts of the country an opportunity to watch the national team in action.

Zimbabwe’s campaign will begin with the encounter against Qualifier A before the Chevrons face Afghanistan, Australia, Pakistan and India in succession.
