President Mnangagwa in Doha for Second World Summit for Social Development

Doha, Qatar — His Excellency, President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has arrived in Doha, Qatar, to participate in the Second World Summit for Social Development, a high-level gathering convened by the United Nations to deliberate on strategies for advancing global social progress, inclusion, and sustainable development.

The summit, being held under the theme “Building Inclusive Societies for a Sustainable Future,” brings together Heads of State and Government, international development partners, policymakers, and civil society leaders from around the world.

Delegates are meeting to assess progress made since the inaugural World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen in 1995 and to reaffirm global commitments toward eradicating poverty, promoting equality, and strengthening social protection systems.

President Mnangagwa’s participation underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development, as well as its engagement with international partners in addressing global social and economic challenges.
