Munetsi set for Ligue 1 return after Wolves-Paris FC loan deal

Warriors Vice-Captain Marshall Munetsi is poised for a swift return to French football after Wolverhampton Wanderers reached an agreement with Ligue 1 side Paris FC over a loan move.

The 29-year-old only joined Wolves last winter from Stade de Reims on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the Premier League club paying a significant fee to secure his services on deadline day.

Munetsi made an immediate impact at Molineux, featuring in 14 league matches in the second half of last season and contributing directly to three goals.

His energy and versatility quickly earned him regular minutes, as Wolves picked up seven wins during that period under then-head coach, Vitor Pereira.

However, his momentum was checked by a change in management after Pereira’s departure, and matters were compounded when he was sidelined by injury in November.

The setback ruled him out for the remainder of the year and forced him to miss the Africa Cup of Nations.

The loan to Paris FC is expected to be completed in the coming days, with Munetsi aiming to make a strong second-half impact and reassert himself at both club and international level.
