Zimbabwe and Namibia are set to clash in a three-match Twenty20 International series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo next week as both teams fine-tune their preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2025.
The three matches will be held at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo from September 15, with both Zimbabwe and Namibia set to use the matches as vital preparation for the regional final event in Harare between September 26 and October 4.
The matches carry extra significance as both sides look to build momentum ahead of the regional qualifier.
A total of eight teams will battle it out in the regional event, with the top two finishers earning a place at next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
The series, confirmed by Zimbabwe Cricket, will be played on 15, 16, and 18 September, with free entry for fans eager to witness the action.
Eight teams are scheduled to compete in that tournament, with only the top two earning tickets to the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Zimbabwe will face Namibia with the same squad that recently tested Sri Lanka in a gripping three-match T20I series in Harare. Although the visitors ultimately triumphed 2-1, the home side’s performances offered plenty of encouragement.
