A 35-year-old woman from Beitbridge, identified as Faith Dube, has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her father-in-law.
The incident reportedly occurred on Monday at Tshishala Village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Chief Matibe. According to police, the altercation arose after Dube confronted her father-in-law over his alleged excessive drinking, which she claimed was straining her marriage.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Criminal Investigations Department (CID) spokesperson, Detective Inspector Rachel Muteweri, confirmed the arrest and said the suspect is expected to appear in court on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
“Police arrested a Beitbridge woman for murder, and she will be presented in court on Wednesday,” said Det-Insp Muteweri.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
