Chatunga Mugabe, 28, son of the late former President Robert Mugabe, and his co-accused Tobias Matonhodze Mugabe, 33, will remain behind bars until March 3, when they are set to appear for a bail application at the Alexandra Magistrate Court.
The pair face charges of attempted murder, defeating the ends of justice, and illegal possession of a firearm.
They were initially arrested following the alleged shooting of a 23-year-old employee at the Mugabe residence in Hyde Park, Johannesburg. The victim is reported to be in critical condition.
