Bayern Munich host PSG in high stakes UCL semi final second leg

Bayern Munich welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Allianz Arena tonight for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final, with the defending champions PSG holding a slender 5-4 aggregate lead from a goal-fest first leg in Paris.

The opening encounter at Parc des Princes produced nine goals in a thrilling 5-4 victory for PSG, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé each scoring twice for the visitors. Bayern fought back from 5-2 down with late goals but now face the daunting task of overturning a one-goal deficit on home soil.

Vincent Kompany’s side will draw confidence from their strong home form in Europe this season, knowing that a 1-0 win would be enough to force extra time, while two or more unanswered goals would send them through to the final. PSG, meanwhile, are aiming to become the first French club to reach three Champions League finals as they protect their advantage.

The match kicks off at 21:00 local time (20:00 GMT), refereed by Portugal’s João Pinheiro.
