Tripoli is set to host the inaugural Libya International Energy Conference and Exhibition, “LIBYES 2026,” from November 24 to 26, 2026, with the participation of major international energy companies.
The first meeting of the conference and exhibition’s executive committee was held on Monday at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Tripoli. The meeting was chaired by NOC Chairman Masoud Suleman and attended by representatives of major international oil and energy companies to review the latest preparations for the inaugural event.
The NOC said on its Facebook page that the meeting reviewed organizational and technical arrangements, the broad outlines of the conference program and its main themes, as well as the scale and level of expected international participation and ongoing efforts to ensure the event reflects Libya’s standing and promising potential in the oil, gas and energy sectors.
The NOC said the meeting saw strong engagement and interest from participating international partners and companies, which expressed their commitment to actively contributing to the event’s success. It said this underscores Libya’s importance in the energy sector and growing interest in strengthening cooperation and strategic partnerships with the NOC and national companies.
The NOC added that the executive committee and all teams involved in organizing the event will continue intensive preparations in the coming weeks to complete the remaining arrangements ahead of welcoming delegations and guests to Tripoli. It said the inaugural edition aims to lay the groundwork for a sustainable international event that reflects the standing of Libya’s oil sector.
