Tonies, a Frankfurt-listed toy-tech company, has struck a deal with BBC Studios to bring Bluey to its interactive audio platform as it gears up for global expansion.
The licensing deal with one of the world’s most popular children’s cartoons will help Tonies more than double its annual revenue to €1.4bn by 2030, the German company forecast on Thursday. Tonies said it expected to deliver an adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation margin of between 16 and 18 per cent over the same timeframe.
The company’s shares have more than doubled in the past 12 months, trading at about €12 this week, giving Tonies a market capitalisation of €1.6bn. Revenues rose 31 per cent to €630mn in 2025. Its success has been driven by the Toniebox, an interactive speaker on which children place hand-painted characters to listen to stories and play interactive games. Tonies has sold more than 165mn of the magnetic figurines since launching the Toniebox a decade ago.
