Dynamos, Mangombe part ways

Dynamos Football Club have officially parted ways with head coach Genesis Mangombe by mutual consent, ending days of speculation surrounding his future at the Harare giants.

The separation takes immediate effect following discussions between the two parties after a week of uncertainty and reported tensions within the club.

In a joint statement released on Tuesday, Dynamos confirmed that all allegations previously levelled against Mangombe, including claims of match-fixing, the use of juju and insubordination, had been withdrawn before both parties agreed to terminate their contractual relationship.

“The parties have mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect after the withdrawal of all allegations that had been raised against the coach,” the statement said.

Dynamos have wasted little time in finding a replacement, appointing Romanian coach Aristica Cioaba as the club’s new head coach as they seek to revive their fortunes in the second half of the season.

Mangombe, who previously enjoyed a successful stint at Triangle United before taking over at Dynamos, is already being linked with a return to the Lowveld side.

His departure marks the end of a brief but eventful spell at the Glamour Boys, with the club now hoping that the arrival of Cioaba will usher in a fresh start as they look to improve their performances and results
