TRs4ED Association Champions Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development

The Teachers for Economic Development (TRs4ED) Association, aligned with ZANU PF, is fully supporting the country’s Vision 2030 agenda, emphasizing economic empowerment and value addition during the ongoing Party Conference in Mutare.

TRs4ED highlights the crucial role of education-led growth in achieving Vision 2030’s goals. The association advocates for modernizing the education sector through teacher professional development, expanding classroom infrastructure, improving digital access, and strengthening STEM and technical-vocational education.

Cde Adam Sithole, Midlands Coordinator, stresses that investing in early childhood, foundational literacy, and inclusive education is vital to build a skilled workforce that can drive industrialization and national development.

Members of TRs4ED actively participate in policy dialogues at the Mutare conference, promoting curriculum reforms aligned with industrial goals, fostering school–industry partnerships, supporting entrepreneurship programs for youth, and encouraging local production of educational materials.

The association also supports efforts to secure sustainable financing models for education through public–private partnerships, ensuring continued improvement of school infrastructure and learning environments.

Economically, TRs4ED underscores the importance of consistent policies to strengthen investment confidence, mature flagship projects in energy, agriculture, and infrastructure, and enhance Zimbabwe’s competitiveness within the SADC region.

TRs4ED calls for transparent monitoring of education and economic targets, robust anti-corruption measures, data-driven policy reviews, and broad consultation with teachers, parents, and communities to ensure Vision 2030’s successful implementation.

The association concludes by urging all educators across Zimbabwe to engage actively in shaping policies and national programs that advance learning outcomes, unity, and sustainable growth for the country’s future.
