A retired senior officer of the Zimbabwe National Army, Brigadier General (Rtd) Jonathan Willie Hungwe, has died.
In a statement, the Commander Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Asher Walter Tapfumanei, confirmed that Brigadier General Hungwe passed away on 26 February in Rutenga, Masvingo Province.
The Army Commander said a funeral parade will be held this Tuesday at 4 Infantry Brigade in Masvingo to honour the late commander’s service and contribution to the defence forces.
Mourners are gathered at Subdivision 3 Arco Ranch in Mwenezi, where family, relatives and colleagues are paying their respects.
Further details on burial arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
