Zim analyst Mukandatsama joins Bafana’s AFCON mission

Zimbabwean performance analyst Tinashe-Shingai Mukandatsama has been drafted into South Africa’s coaching staff for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set for Morocco from December 21.

Mukandatsama, who is part of the Mamelodi Sundowns technical department, has earned a growing reputation for sharp video analysis, opposition profiling and player-development insights.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Mukandatsama later moved to South Africa to advance his skills in sports science and performance analysis.

His rise accelerated with South Africa’s Under-20s, where he was part of the technical team that won the African Under-20 Championship and later took part at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

His inclusion in the Bafana Bafana AFCON setup now gives him the chance to showcase his analytical expertise at one of the continent’s biggest stages.

South Africa and Zimbabwe are in group B where they are joined by Egypt and Angola.
