President Mnangagwa joins Global Leaders at WGS Dubai

President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Tuesday morning joined fellow global leaders at the official opening of the World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai, marking the largest edition of the high-level gathering in its history.

Organisers said the three-day summit has attracted 45 heads of State and Government, over 6 000 delegates, and 700 chief executive officers of leading international companies, alongside senior policymakers, innovators and thought leaders.

Held under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” the World Governments Summit aims to advance international cooperation while developing tools, ideas, and policy frameworks essential for building resilient, inclusive, and future-ready governments.

The annual forum provides a global platform for dialogue on governance, economic transformation, digitalisation, sustainability, and emerging technologies. It brings together decision-makers from across the world to exchange experiences and coordinate responses to shared global challenges.

President Mnangagwa’s participation underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to enhancing international engagement, forging investment partnerships, and promoting policy-driven cooperation with global stakeholders. The summit presents an opportunity for the country to highlight its development agenda and strengthen ties with leaders and innovators shaping the future of governance worldwide.
