ZANU PF Women’s League in Bulawayo Provincial Chairlady Rejoice Sibanda called for unity and steadfast support for the Constitutional Amendment (No. 3) Bill.
Addressing party cadres during the meeting yesterday , Sibanda described the proposed amendment as central to national stability and development.
“As women, we must take the lead in educating our communities and ensuring that our people understand the importance of supporting Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3. This is about stability, continuity, and development,” she said.
She urged Women’s League members to remain resolute in advancing party resolutions and mobilising grassroots support.
“We must brace ourselves as women and remain steadfast. Our responsibility is not only to support but to explain, to engage, and to ensure that communities appreciate why policy consistency matters for national progress,” added Sibanda.
Sibanda outlined anticipated benefits associated with the amendment, emphasising governance efficiency and economic development.
“Policy stability and continuity are critical for Bulawayo’s industrial revival. Legislative certainty strengthens service delivery, enhances administrative efficiency, and improves investor confidence,” she said.
She added that a structured governance environment would support broader participation by women.
“Women must fully occupy their space in leadership and economic empowerment initiatives. Constitutional alignment provides the foundation for sustainable development,” she said.
Rallying members behind the national development agenda,Sibanda reiterated support for Vision 2030.
“Regai Baba vapedzise basa ravo. Women are key drivers in achieving upper-middle-income status. We must actively participate in economic programmes, community projects, and mobilisation efforts,”she told the gathering
Members pledged to intensify grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures at district level, and expand community mobilisation efforts.
The Constitutional Amendment (No. 3) Bill continues to generate nationwide engagement, with various stakeholders contributing to discussions surrounding governance, policy alignment, and national development priorities.
