Zanu PF drives Youth innovation through start-up empowerment

Young entrepreneurs have commended the ruling party, Zanu PF, for empowering them through start-up support initiatives.

In an interview with The Harare Post, this Wednesday, at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo, AquaDoc Water Systems Engineer, Simbarashe Tinorwa, commended Zanu PF for providing his organisation with an opportunity to expand his water purification business through financial assistance.

Tinorwa revealed that AquaDoc developed an efficient water treatment system called Reverse Osmosis machine,  which is designed to purify water for safe use. He noted that the innovation forms part of broader efforts to improve access to clean and safe water.

Tinorwa said, “I am grateful that my organisation, AquaDoc, benefited from empowerment initiatives driven by Zanu PF through financial support for start-ups and innovation projects. Through the funding, I developed a water supply system for Geo Pomona kitchen. He added, “I am also offering water purifying services at Greenfields offices in Belvedere, Harare. I commend Government for scrapping duty on equipment used in establishing water purification plants. The move is a significant boost to local innovation and industrial growth in the water sector.”

Youth empowerment initiatives by the Zanu PF party are promoting and strengthening innovation in Zimbabwe.  The move is in line with the country’s National Development Strategy 2 and Vision 2030, which seeks to modernise the economy.
