The extradition case of fugitive murder suspect Ndodana Tshuma gets underway this morning at a court in Johannesburg, South Africa, where proceedings will determine whether he will be handed over to United Kingdom authorities.
The Zimbabwe-born 45-year-old is wanted in Britain in connection with the alleged murder of his wife and two daughters last month.
Tshuma appeared before a Johannesburg court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to four charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and entering South Africa illegally after fleeing the UK following the alleged murders.
The South African National Prosecuting Authority has entered into a plea and sentencing agreement with Tshuma.
This Thursday’s extradition proceedings will determine whether the fugitive will be handed over to UK authorities to face the murder allegations.
