President Mnangagwa urges Zanu PF to turn resolutions into results

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has challenged Zanu PF leadership to ensure resolutions adopted by the ruling party translate into tangible improvements in the lives of Zimbabweans.

President Mnangagwa made the remarks after chairing the 397th Ordinary Session of the Zanu PF Politburo at the party headquarters in Harare.

“As we met, we paid a special tribute to our founding fathers, the late former President Robert Mugabe and former Vice President Simon Muzenda.

Their enduring legacy continues to inspire deep unity, patriotism, and love for our great country,” President Mnangagwa said.

The President said preparations for the upcoming National People’s Conference in Chinhoyi were progressing well, with the gathering set to focus on implementation under the theme “From Resolutions to Results.”

“Looking ahead, preparations for the upcoming 23rd National People’s Conference in Chinhoyi are progressing exceptionally well.

Operating under the theme ‘From Resolutions to Results,’ I have firmly charged the Party leadership to ensure our resolutions translate directly into tangible, life-changing results for our people,” President Mnangagwa said.

He also highlighted developments in the economy, saying investor confidence was continuing to rise, citing the opening of Ecobank’s US$24 million head office in Harare and engagements with American business leaders on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly.

“On the economic front, our nation continues to witness a steady rise in investor confidence,” he said.

President Mnangagwa also pointed to the successful hosting of the Sanganai Tourism Expo in Masvingo as evidence of the resilience and potential of the tourism sector.

“While we celebrate these successes, we remain proactive in safeguarding our communities against climate risks.

Ahead of the predicted below-normal rainfall, the Government has formally approved a comprehensive Six-Pillar Drought Mitigation Plan to ensure food security and community support nationwide,” he said.

On foreign policy, President Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe’s diplomatic engagement was expanding ahead of the country’s assumption of a United Nations Security Council seat in January 2027.

He also said Zimbabwe was preparing to host the 25th COMESA Summit, where the country will assume the chairmanship.

“I call upon all party members and citizens to remain focused, united, and disciplined. Together, we are building a prosperous Zimbabwe, leaving no one and no place behind,” he said.
