Murechu sworn in as Nkulumane MP

Freedom Murechu was, yesterday, sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Nkulumane Constituency, marking the beginning of his tenure in the National Assembly.

 Murechu took the oath of office in Parliament, pledging to uphold the Constitution of Zimbabwe and to faithfully discharge his duties as a representative of the people of Nkulumane.

In a brief interview after the swearing-in ceremony, Murechu said he was committed to advancing the developmental aspirations of his constituency and ensuring improved service delivery.

“I am honoured to serve the people of Nkulumane. My focus will be on amplifying their concerns in Parliament and working towards tangible social and economic development,” he said.

 Murechu added that he would prioritise community engagement to ensure that legislative contributions reflect the needs of the constituency.

Residents and local stakeholders have expressed optimism that his entry into Parliament will bring renewed energy towards addressing infrastructure challenges, employment creation and improved access to social services in the area.

His swearing-in comes as Parliament continues deliberations on key national issues aimed at fostering economic growth and enhancing the welfare of citizens.
