Nyawera heads to Miss Supranational 2026 in Poland

Zimbabwe’s hopes at the Miss Supranational 2026 pageant now rest on reigning Miss Supranational Zimbabwe, Nicole Nyawera, who is set to depart for Poland on July 12 to compete on the global stage.

The towering beauty queen, standing at 185 centimetres, will represent Zimbabwe among contestants from more than 60 countries at one of the world’s fastest-growing international beauty competitions, which combines fashion, culture, leadership and humanitarian advocacy.

The grand finale is scheduled for July 31 in Nowy Sącz, Poland, where Brazil’s Eduarda Braum will crown her successor.

Nyawera says she is fully prepared for the challenge and is now focusing on final refinements to her presentation, interview skills and stage performance ahead of the global contest.

“I am well prepared. I have almost everything in place, and I’m now focusing on the final details, including polishing my presentation and interview skills,” she said.

Her preparations have included intensive runway coaching under trainer Royce Gavi, which she credits for sharpening her stage presence.

Beyond the glamour of pageantry, Nyawera says her mission is to represent Zimbabwe with authenticity while championing maternal mental health awareness.

She draws inspiration from Dr Catherine Hamlin, whose work in fistula care shaped her advocacy, and former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi, whom she admires for promoting confidence, purpose and authenticity.

Nyawera says she hopes to use the platform to celebrate Zimbabwean culture, resilience and values while promoting meaningful social impact through her advocacy work.
